The Knops and the O'Malleys

Knop Family
Albert F. Knop (born April 21, 1867, in Germany, died January 11, 1911) married Mary B. (Bertha?) Droll (born September 27, 1866, in Germany, died December 22, 1921). After Albert's death in 1911, Mary remarried, to J.O. Reher. Albert and Mary had nine children:
1) Ann Knop, who married George Grau. They had six children: Frank, Albert (who became a Jesuit priest), Mary (who became a nun), Geraldine (married name Phoebus),
Charles, and Dorothy (married name Martin).
2) Helen Knop (born September 13, 1894, died December 11, 1938), who married Anthony Conrad (Tony) Rolfes (born February 11, 1893, died March 5, 1983).
They had six children:
a) Anne (Anna?) (born July 29, 1916, died November 1984)-- married Joseph Bozavic in 1939. They had one child, Kenneth.
Anne later married John Duffy, date unknown.
b) Mary (born 1918), who married Herbert Landolt. They had nine children: Jerry, Daniel (born October 30, 1941,
died June 6, 1995), Robert, Joan, John, Barbara, Thomas, Herbert, and Dianne.
c) Harry (born 1920), who married Lucille Steele (born July 16, 1924, died February 8, 1989 in St. Petersburg, Fl).
After Lucille's death, Harry married Evelyn. Harry and Lucille had six children: Carol, Thomas, Harry, James, John, and Anne.
d) Warren (born 1921, died 1995), who married Virginia. They had five children: Linda, Larry, Leslie, Lee, and Laura
e) Helen (born May 19, 1923, died January 31, 1996 in Mt. Rainier, Md), who married Louis Richard Granzow
(born January 17, 1916, in Washington, DC, died February 12, 2001, in Riverdale, Md) on May 30, 1942 at St. John's Catholic Church in Frederick, Maryland.
They had eight children:
1) Karl, who married Molly Susan Hysan on February 9, 1963. They had nine children: Suellen,
Karl, Kathleen, Matthew, Daniel, Bernard, Sara, and Andrew.
2) Richard, who married Judy on October 31, 1969. They had two children: Khristie, and Julianne.
3) Janet, who married John Edward Fisher on April 3, 1971. They had three children: Jennifer,
John, and Jason.
4) Ellen, who married Robert Kight on July 5, 1968. They had four children: Marlene,
Robert, Brian, and Charles.
5) Kristine, who married Daniel Beach on August 19, 1971.
They had three children: David, Eric, and Nathan.
6) Martin, who married Susan on April 20, 1974. They had two children: Jeffrey and Natalie.
7) Mary Kathryn, who married George Klischer. They had one child, Karl.
8) James, who married Heidi on January 20, 1990. They had one child, Christopher.
f) Elizabeth (born 1924, died 1926).
3) Louise Knop (born March 30, 1896, died October 5, 1938), who married Edward James O'Malley (born July 18, 1891, died February 21, 1938).

4) Albert Knop (birth date April 26, 1900, died April 30, 1971), who married Sarah Horney (Sadie) (born August 9, 1902, died March 12, 1995).
They had one daughter, Mary Elizabeth. Mary married Edward Meekins, and they had at two daughters, Debra and Karen. Debra married Russell Moy,
and they had two children: Josh and Laura.
5) Bertha (Bertie) Knop (born in 1898, died May 19, 1961) never married.
6) Joseph Knop (born 1904, died September 25, 1953), who married Mae (maiden name unknown). They had one son, Joseph.
7) George Knop (born July 11, 1909, died October 25, 1980), who married Marie Dreisch. They had one daughter, Prescilla.
8) Elizabeth Knop , who married Henry Guttenberger. They had two daughters: Mary (married name Bender), and Anne (married name Holden).
9) Carl Knop (birthdate unknown, died March 19, 1958), who married Ruth Hill (born 1911, died 1937). After Ruth's death,
Carl married Dolores Sproul. They had seven children: Carl Jr, Mary Ellen (married Eugene Marshall, 3 children),
Marian (married Larry Elavsky, 2 children), Gerard (Jerry) (married Debra Forstner, 2 children), Katharine (Kathy) (married Kevin Dimartino, 3 children),
Elizabeth (married Brad Lowans), and Anne (married Al Narbutis, 1 child).
O'Malley Family
Unnamed O'Malley married Katherine Lee. They had four children:
1) Edward James O'Malley (born July 18, 1891, died February 21, 1938) married Louise Knop. Their family is the main subject of this website.

2) Patrick O'Malley married Rhea (maiden name unknown). They had two sons: Edward and Paul.
3) Katharine (Katie) O'Malley married Arthur Magill. They had two children: Mary and Arthur ("Otts").
4) Elizabeth (Bessie) O'Malley married Daniel Murray. They had three children: Mary, Lee, and Gordon.
